Teaching

 

Jean Ann teaches.

 

She has been an adjunct professor and guest lecturer in the Performance and Interactive Media Arts MFA program at Brooklyn College, and a guest lecturer at Brooklyn College and Tisch School of the Arts (NYU). Courses taught include "Artistic Process and Contemporary Community", "Media in Performance", "Experimental Ensemble", "Sound, Image, Space, and Performance".

With Eric John Meyer, Jean Ann has been a visiting artist at Hamilton College and Concordia University Chicago, teaching workshops in collaborative playmaking.

 

With adults and young students, she has taught workshops on collaboration, media, and physical theater at the PRELUDE Festival, Harlem School for the Arts, Georgetown University, Hope High School (Providence), and with Dutch Kills Theater.
